It’s a stunning centre – that volunteers, donations, and memories have built.
We visited the Juno Beach Centre in July this summer. Just a few short weeks after the 70th anniversary ceremonies took place. My wife and I went through the centre, toured the bunker, and walked the beach.
Then we returned for the short film. I don’t know who created it but it was a masterpiece. I could have looked up all the publisher, director, and writer credits but I chose not to.
It hits hard. To see what they faced when they arrived. To see the devastation and odds that they fought against was terrifying yet proud.
Our country stood tall. Our men stood tall.
They stood together – from all over Canada.
We stood together.
